srvctl start service

Published by Alessandro Caredda on

With the article you are about to read: srvctl start service, we provide the command to start an Oracle service registered in the cluster through CRS.

Before executing the start, let’s check the status of resources with the command:

crsctl status res -t

The command to execute srvctl start service is:

srvctl start service -d <database> -s <service> -i <instance>

Example:

srvctl start service -d DBTESTp -s DB_TEST_SERVICE -i DBTESTp1

So far so simple, right? We’ve executed the query, and now all that’s left is to verify the status as described below

Once the prompt is returned, recheck the status of resources with the command:

crsctl status res -t
