CRS STOP ALL

With the CRS STOP ALL article: Complete shutdown of all CRS cluster resources, we provide the command to shut down all online resources registered in the CRS from a node of an RAC.

As indicated in multiple articles, CRS is the Oracle cluster manager.

Through CRS commands, we have the ability to control the state of resources, to stop and start various resources including databases, listeners.

We can perform the relocation of services and SCANs, and we can configure new resources to add to the cluster.

In the event that we need to stop the cluster due to server maintenance or for example patching activities,
we need to close all resources including the CRS.

But first, we should disable automatic startup during reboot with the following command found in the Disable CRS article.

Subsequently, we will proceed with the closure of the CRS, which can be executed without issues with databases open.

The command to stop the CRS to be executed with the root user is:

crsctl stop cluster -all
