    • SQL Query In the SQL Query category, you will find numerous queries useful for administering the Oracle database. A SQL Structure Query Language query is a query to a database through SQL code, which is a standard language used to retrieve and manage information from relational databases. Oracle is an RDBMS Relational Database Management System or a DBMS Data Base Management System based on the relational model. This allows you to retrieve data from multiple tables by relating them to each other in order to have the result in a single output. A query consists of a code structure consisting of 2 phases: selection and origin. SELECT * FROM all_users; The third phase follows, which is the condition. We apply a filter to the queries to limit the rows to be recovered: SELECT * FROM all_users WHERE username = ‘ALEX’; This is a simple query that allows us to retrieve the information recorded in the all_users table relating to the ALEX user. On the Foundations of Oracle course, the SQL language in all its forms will be illustrated in detail.

SRVCTL commands – CRS Oracle

The SRVCTL commands – CRS Oracle, perform various operations such as starting and stopping instances, moving or removing instances and services.

In addition, SRVCTL commands handle configuration information and cluster resources.

The SRVCTL process SRVCTL can be used to start and stop the database and instances by sending requests to the Oracle Clusterware (CRSD) process, which then starts or stops the Oracle Clusterware resources.

Furthermore, the Server Control utility (SRVCTL) is installed on each node by default.

Finally, it is possible to use SRVCTL to add services.

The SRVCTL command has 3 distinct uses

General cluster database administration activities with SRVCTL Cluster database configuration activities with SRVCTL Node-level operations with SRVCTL General database administration activities include:

Start and stop cluster databases Start and stop cluster database instances Start, stop and relocate cluster database services Get statuses of cluster databases, cluster database instances, or cluster database services Database configuration activities include:

Add, modify, and delete cluster database configuration information. Add an instance or service and remove an instance or service from a cluster database configuration. Move instances and services within a cluster database configuration and modify service configurations. Set up and disable the environment for an instance or service in a cluster database configuration. Set up and disable the environment for an entire cluster database in a cluster database configuration. Node-level activities include:

Addition and deletion of node-level applications. Setting up and tearing down the environment for node-level applications. Administration of node-level applications. Administration of ASM instances. Start and stop a program group that includes virtual IP addresses, listeners, Oracle Notification Services, and Oracle Enterprise Manager agents (for maintenance purposes). Therefore, in the SRVCTL – CRS Oracle Commands category, we provide the most commonly used SRVCTL commands.
